AFCON 2019 ... Egypt's Fans Flock to Cairo Stadium

A few hours before the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt's fans are flocking to the Cairo stadium to attend the opening match between Egypt and Zimbabwe at 22:00 CLT.

The gates were opened at 13:00 pm and will be closed at 18:30 pm CLT, after that no one will be allowed to enter.

Two hours before the beginning of the game, the tremendous opening ceremony will be held. The ceremony is expected to last for 14 minutes.

The prominent figures:

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will attend the match alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and a number of high-ranking state officials.

Samuel Eto’o, legendary Cameroon and Barcelona forward, and Didier Drogba, former Chelsea forward will also attend this big ceremony.

How to get to the stadium:

Cairo stadium is located in the Nasr City suburb, so the easiest way to get to the stadium is to take a taxi, or you can take any bus heading to Nasr city. You can also take the underground from downtown Cairo.
