Eto'o, Drogba Join Time Sports Channel as Pundits

Samuel Eto'o, legendary Cameroon and Barcelona forward, and Didier Drogba, former Chelsea forward will take up a role as pundits for Time Sports Channel, during the period of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

The Egyptian channel will broadcast the matches of the 2019 African Nations Cup on terrestrial TV channels.

Who is Samuel Eto'o?

Samuel Eto'o, who is the former forward of Barcelona, and Inter Milan, is the top scorers of the AFCON throughout its history with 18 goals.

Eto'o, who was regarded by pundits as one of the best forwards in the world, managed to retain the Africa player of the year four times before: in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010.

The legendary player, who participated with the Indomitable Lions in four World Cups, and six AFCONs, achieved the AFCON title with his national team two times; in 2000, and 2002. He announced his international retirement in 2014.

Who is Didier Drogba?

Didier Drogba, who is the former legendary forward of Ivory Coast, and Chelsea, is the top scorer of the Elephants throughout their history.

Drogba, who became the first African player to score 100 goals in the Premier League, lifted the Premier League cup twice.

He participated with the Elephants in three World Cups; in 2006, 2010, and 2014, in addition, he led them to advance to the final leg of the AFCON tournament in 2006, and 2012, but the Elephants failed to claim the title on both occasions.
