As part of efforts to strengthen educational and cultural ties between Egypt and Russia, Egyptian universities are witnessing new momentum in academic cooperation with Russian institutions through visits and meetings aimed at developing joint partnerships and exchanging expertise.

In this context, King Salman International University in Sharm El-Sheikh welcomed Dr. Vadim Zaychikov, Director of the Russian Centers for Science and Culture in Egypt, on a working visit to explore opportunities for academic and cultural collaboration.

During the visit, Zaychikov met with Dr. Ola Adel, alongside the Faculty of Foreign Languages administration, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation. These included supporting Russian language teaching, developing academic programs, and launching initiatives aligned with labor market needs.

Discussions also highlighted training programs conducted in cooperation with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in 2025, hosted at the university and supported by the Russian cultural centers. These programs targeted university students and professionals in the tourism sector.

Officials from Rixos Hotels praised the high quality of the training courses, particularly the program titled “Linguistic and Cultural Foundations for Professional Communication in Tourism,” emphasizing its practical impact in enhancing employees’ skills.

These programs aim to improve language proficiency and intercultural communication skills among students, while also preparing qualified professionals for the international tourism market.

The talks further explored expanding cooperation into other sectors, including agriculture, where both sides agreed on initial steps to implement joint projects, along with proposals to launch new educational initiatives in the second half of the year.

This visit reflects a growing mutual interest in strengthening partnerships between Egyptian and Russian educational institutions, supporting knowledge exchange and contributing to sustainable development.
