It's been a year since 'Madrast Al-Mushaghebeen' star Hadi El-Gayar died and left a great legacy behind him, which will be cherished for life long.
His friend, the renowned Egyptian journalist and playwright, Yousry El Fakhrany and others paid tribute to him on the first anniversary of his death.
One year after his death, El Fakhrany shared a heartfelt tribute for the late star and wrote on his Facebook platform: "May God bless his soul in Heaven."
El-Gayar, best known for the series (The Legend), died shortly after he was admitted to an intensive care unit at a hospital in Al-Harm district, Giza governorate.
Meanwhile, his fans wrote: "One year after his death, the memory of El-Gayar remains this alive in us."
The cause of El-Gayar death was Coronavirus, but he had reportedly suffered from heart problems that led to a heart attack.
According to the Egyptian website El-Cinema, El-Gayar, a talented actor, was born in October 1949 in Egypt. He received his BA from the acting department at the High Institute of Theatrical Arts in Cairo in 1963.
His first advanced breakthrough came with his role in the popular play “Madraset Elmoshaghbeen” (School of Rowdies).
El-Gayar is well-known for some of his seminal works, such as the AlKafr Delhab (2017), The Legend (2016), The Other Face (1987), “Almal wal Banun” (Fortune and Progeny), “Elraya Elbeida” (The White Flag), and “Alnawares wal Soqur” (Albatrosses and Falcons), which, the maven film director Ibrahim Al-Shawady, directed.
El-Gayar’s work focused on local issues and Egyptian society. His contribution to the Egyptian cinema industry was very small, through his 1971 film “Thom Tashreq Alshams” (Then The Sun Rises), directed by Ahmed Diaa-Aldien, and “Ihtares Esabet Alnisaa” (Watch Out for the Women’s Clan) (1986).
Furthermore, he is known for his joint collaborations and associations with legendary Egyptian actors like the adorable star Adel Emam and the magnificent star Ahmed Zaki.
