SEE Presents Group D Preliminary Squads in AFCON

The whole African continent is waiting on needles and pins for one of the prominent football events that happen once every two years. With only seventeen-days to go before the 2019 African cup of nations starts. SEE highlights Preliminary Squads, Group D.

Group D, which includes Morocco, Ivory Coast, South Africa, and Namibia, will play its matches at Al Salam Stadium with its official capacity of 30,000.

The four teams named their provisional squads for the upcoming tournament, but every team should submit their final squads before the beginning of the AFCON.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt will host the African Cup of Nation from 21 June to 19 July. The hosts will play the opening match against Zimbabwe on 21 June at the Cairo stadium.

Here are the squads of group D

Morocco

Herve Renard, Morocco national football team’s coach, named his 27-man Preliminary squad for the upcoming AFCON. Renard's men will begin their campaign against Namibia on June 23.

Renard's 27-man squad is as follows:

Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast coach Ibrahim Kamara announced his 27-man squad for the tournament. The Elephants will play their first match in the tournament against South Africa on June 24 at Al Salam Stadium.

South Africa coach Stuart Baxter named his 28-man Preliminary squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. Bafana Bafana will play their first match against the Elephants on June 24.

Ricardo Mannetti, Namibia's coach has not announced his 23-man squad yet. it is the third time for Namibia to participate in the AFCON. They will play their first match against Morocco on June 23.
