Bibliotheca Alexandrina to Participate in International Drums & Arts Festival

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) will participate in the upcoming edition of the International Festival for Drums and Traditional Arts through Bayt al-Sinnari.

Dr. Mostafa El Feki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina said that art is the only international language accepted by all hearts and minds. It is also capable of strengthening Egypt’s soft power in the Middle East. Egypt introduces all forms of arts that related to the human’s renaissance.

He added that this festival has significant importance due to its time and occasion. In addition, he asserted that the BA backs all forms of unique arts from all cultures.

El Feki also greeted the team of the festival and all participants. He called on all Egyptians to enjoy the various events of the festival which presents different forms of culture.

In the same context, Intisar Abdel Fattah, the director and the founder of the festival, previously described that this festival reflects the values of good, peace, and optimism, and acceptance.

The eighth International Festival for Drums and Traditional Arts will take place between June 12 to 18.

30 groups will participate in the upcoming edition of the festival from several countries such as Yemen, Pakistan, Congo, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Indonesia, and others.

A number of the occasion‘s events will take place in different venues in Cairo such as El Horiya Park, Al Hanager Theater, El Ghouri Complex, and Mahmoud Mokhtar Museum’s Garden.
