Brazilian footballer Dani Alves, and his wife supermodel Joana Sanz visited earlier Thursday Saqqara archaeological site.
While touring the archaeological site, they were accompanied by Sabry Farag, director-general of the Sakkara antiquities area, and Dr. Mohamed Youssef, director of the Saqqara area.
They visited the step pyramid of Saqqara, and Wahtye cemetery, which was discovered by an Egyptian archaeological mission in December 2018.
Alvis and his wife expressed their happiness to visit this historic area, and the step pyramid of Saqqara (or Zoser), which considered the world’s oldest intact large-scale stone monument.
Then, they headed to Dahshur archaeological site, where they visited king Snefru’s pyramid. They were astonished by the magnitude of the pyramid and its building.
Moreover, they were keen to take a number of memorial photos.
It is worth mentioning that, this is the second time for Alves in Cairo; he made his first visit with the Brazilian national team in the world youth cup, which was hosted by Egypt at that time.
He is considered one of the most crowned players in the world championships.
