Dani Alves Completes Sao Paulo Switch

Sao Paulo Completed on Friday the signing of Brazil captain Dani Alves on a free transfer.

The right-back player has signed a three-year deal with the Brazilian side after leaving PSG at the end of his contract in June.

"I dreamed of playing for Sao Paulo and Barcelona, ​​and today I have achieved the rest of that dream," Alves said on his official Instagram page.

“Daniel Alves is the embodiment of what this management envisions for Sao Paulo,” Sao Paulo president Carlos Augusto de Barros e Silva said according to Euronews.

"One day I told Daniel that he would come to play at Sao Paulo. Today, I have the immense joy and pride to have kept that promise," he added.

The 36-year old player spent 17 years playing in Europe as he claimed the league titles with PSG, Juventus, and Barcelona.

Alves won six La Liga titles with the Blaugrana. He claimed the Champions League trophy with Barca on three occasions.

The Brazilian player won the league once with Juventus and twice with PSG.

Alves, who won 40 trophies across his adventures in football, led his national team to end their 12-year wait for a Copa America title by beating Peru 3-1 to win the tournament in July.
