“Abu Saddam” Film to Screen at Cairo Opera House' Cinema Club on Feb. 27

The Cairo Opera House's Cinema Club will screen Egyptian actor Mohamed Mamdouh's new film "Abu Saddam", on Sunday, February 27.

The event will take place in the Small Hall at 7:00 PM.

The screening will be followed by a seminar with the film's cast and crew.

The seminar will be attended by Mamdouh, film's director Nadine Khan, producer Ahmed Fahmy, scriptwriter Mahmoud Ezzat.

It is moderated by film critic Tarek El Shennawi, prepared by Nora Ghoneim, and held under the supervision of Amin Al-Serafi

Mamdouh will be bestowed with the opera shield.

“Abu Saddam” marks the actor's first leading role in a film.

The film received its world premiere at the 43rd edition of the Cairo International Film Festival and earned Mamdouh the Best Actor Award for his performance.

“Abu Saddam” centered around a 40-year-old experienced truck driver Abu Saddam (Mamdouh) getting a transportation mission on the North Coast road after he stopped working for years, who is unemployed due to his severe temperament.

The driver decides that he wants to complete his mission perfectly to complement his working reputation but he faces a small situation on the road and things get out of control.

The screening comes within the framework of the artistic and intellectual activity provided by the Cairo Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber.
