29th Edition of Salah El-Din Citadel Int'l Festival of Music, Singing Kicks off

Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, participated yesterday evening in the activities of the 29th session of the Salah El-Din Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing.

In cooperation between the Ministries of Tourism, Antiquities and Culture, Dr. Enas Eid El-Dayem, Minister of Culture launched the activities of the festival.

Dr. Khaled Al-Anani expressed his happiness to launch this festival again after suspending it last year due to the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, pointing out that the participation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in this event confirms the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Culture to provide services and creative activities in archaeological sites.

Dr. Khaled Al-Anani wished a happy festival to the attendees, to enjoy the beauty and fine art and learn about the monuments of their country.

During the festival, the Ministers of Tourism, Antiquities and Culture honored 11 personalities who contributed to enriching the art scene in Egypt and the Arab world, and others who participated in achieving the success of the festival through its successive sessions.

The festival was attended by Dr. Khaled Dagher, head of the Artistic House of Music, Opera and Ballet on behalf of Dr. Magdy Saber, President of the Opera House, Engineer Jihan Abdel Moneim, Deputy Governor of Cairo, heads of sectors of the Ministry of Culture, a number of ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, and members of Parliament.
