Waziri Follows up “Ramses and Gold of the Pharaohs” Exhibition Preparation in Texas

Mostafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, accompanied by the Consul General of Egypt in Houston Khaled Rizk, and Minister Plenipotentiary Ahmed Farid, inspected the hall dedicated to the exhibition "Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs" at the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences in Texas, to follow up on the ongoing preparations for the exhibition, scheduled to open in November.

The tour included a visit to the main hall of the exhibition, which is ​​​​3,000 square meters wide, exhibition booths, guiding panels, and the applicable insurance and precautionary measures.

Waziri stressed that this tour came to follow up all the necessary procedures for the exhibition to come out in its best form, and its optimal manner, which would help promote Egyptian culture and tourism abroad.

It is worth noting that the council of ministers had approved the holding of the exhibition in 4 different  destinations, including two states in the U.S., Paris and Sydney.

Head of the Museums Sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities Moamen Othman said that the exhibition includes 181 artifacts; it will highlight some of the distinctive characteristics of the ancient Egyptian civilization, especially the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom, through statues, ornaments, cosmetics, paintings, stone blocks, inscriptions, and statues of some deities in the form of birds and animals, as well as some colorful wooden coffins.
