Cairo Jazz Festival's (CJF) announced the whole details of the 13th edition. The activities of the festival will take place between October 28, and November 5.
This year's event will include multicultural participants and international acts from the US, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Sudan, and Argentine, alongside Egyptian artists.
Moreover, the activities will take place in Cairo, Alexandria, and for the first time in Aswan. However, the majority of the events and the workshops will be hosted at the American University in Cairo's Tahrir campus.
Among the international participating acts are James Ketterer, Mark Campbell, ICX Jazz Ensemble from the US, Djama which includes members from Bulgaria, France, and Egypt, Strake & Gorter from Germany, Dock In Absolute from Luxembourg, and KruidKoek from the Netherlands.
The program also has several workshops and film screenings, alongside several events dedicated to kids under the theme of Jazzinno.
CJF is a multi-disciplinary international event that aims to celebrate Jazz by the Nile as one of the unique art forms in history. It was founded in 2009 with the initiative to increase awareness and promote Jazz music in Egypt.
