Disney’s "Zootopia 2," the highly anticipated animated sequel to its Oscar-winning 2016 hit, has received multiple at-home viewing release dates.
The hit sequel is coming to homes on January 27 and will be available on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. In addition, it will get a 4K Ultra HD, Blue-ray and DVD release on March 3.
“Zootopia 2” opened ahead of Thanksgiving to $156 million domestically and $559.5 million globally over five days, becoming the highest global animated opening of all time and the year’s biggest worldwide debut.
It is the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association (MPA) release of all time, with $1.7B worldwide, and ranks as the ninth-highest-grossing film ever.
"Zootopia 2" marks the fifth Walt Disney Animation Studios title to surpass $1 billion globally, underscoring its historic box office run.
Disney is releasing a limited edition 4K SteelBook bursting with the beloved characters that reside in Zootopia, with a special focus on everyone’s new favorite, Gary De’Snake.
Bonus features include an inside look at Walt Disney Animation Studios, playful behind-the-scenes moments from the recording booth, and a celebratory spotlight on Shakira’s music.
The release also includes a lively collection of deleted scenes, offering fans even more laughs, surprises, and world-building.
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, "Zootopia 2" follows rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman), who find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
