The Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology affiliated to Communication Sector of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a two-week course for university students on museums and monuments in cooperation with the Rashid National Museum under the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The course runs for a couple of weeks.
The participants have paid visits to various archaeological sites in the city of Rashid and the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, downtown Cairo, and monuments of Islamic Cairo.
The young people were instructed on the arts of archaeological excavations, museum sciences and sunken artifacts. They were given certificates certifying that they passed the course successfully.
The course was launched by the Dr. Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology at the Alexandria Bibliotheca and the Rashid National Museum under the Museum Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities under the title " A Tour in Archaeology and Museums Sciences.
This training course attended by students and graduates of Faculties of Archaeology and, Tourist Guidance, and a distinguished group of professors of tourism and archaeology delivered lectures on it.
By the end of the course, a registered questionnaire was conducted for models of the trainees to measure their familiarity with what was covered in the scientific material and field training during the training period.
The training included a number of field visits to some archaeological sites and museums in the cities of Cairo and Rashid.
