Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation has invented a medical cabin to protect doctors who are striving to combat Coronavirus in different hospitals and medical centres.
Health Ministry delegation visited today, Zewail City to inspect the medical protection cabins. The Ministry will approving the device and search for an industrial partner to produce it.
The medical cabin was designed and manufactured in Zewail city, with 100% local products; it costed EGP 30,000.
The Coronavirus detection booth offers complete isolation from the outside environment, as the booth is not contaminated from the inside.
Also the entire medical team receiving the cases is completely sterilized, and isolation tools are used for the medical team to ensure safety.
The initial detection is done in the cabin by measuring the body temperature, as well as a swab to prepare the sample for analyzing the virus and the tools are sterilized between each person.
