A24 has dated Zendaya and Robert Pattinson‘s romantic comedy “The Drama” for April 3, 2026.

Kristoffer Borgli directs the film from a script he wrote. It marks his fourth feature film and his second with A24, which released his surreal black comedy “Dream Scenario” in 2023.

The satire debuted to strong reviews at its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and maintained momentum to land its star Nicolas Cage a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical.

While plot details for the film remain under lock and key, though it’s understood that “The Drama” will follow a couple whose romance faces unexpected hurdles ahead of their big day.

Rounding out the cast are Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Gates.

“The Drama” counts Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen as producers, through their banner Square Peg. Borgli and Tyler Campellone produce under Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24.

Square Peg and A24 have become regular partners, with their shared titles including “Dream Scenario,” “Death of a Unicorn” and Aster’s four directed features, “Hereditary,” “Midsommar,” “Beau Is Afraid,” and “Eddington.”

Zendaya and Pattinson will also be seen together next year in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” among a sprawling ensemble that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.

Not only that, but “The Drama” co-stars will also team up in “Dune: Part Three,” with Zendaya reprising her franchise role and Pattinson joining the series for the first time.

Next year will see Zendaya make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and to HBO for the third season of” Euphoria.”

Meanwhile, Pattinson can next be seen alongside Jennifer Lawrence in Lynne Ramsay’s “Die My Love,” as well as Lance Oppenheim’s narrative feature debut “Primetime,” which is set up at A24 and wrapped production over the summer.
