Dr. Vadim Zaychikov, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, confirmed that Russian centers in BRICS nations place great importance on youth. They are keen to provide a variety of educational programs and assist in developing personal skills. This statement was made during a meeting with the young participants of the BRICS+ Youth Clubs Camp, which was recently held at the El-Qarsh Camp in Ismailia. The camp was sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Abdullah El-Batsh, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports and Egypt's representative to the BRICS Youth Council. The opening of the camp also saw the participation of Saad Nadeem, Head of the Digital Inclusion and Artificial Intelligence Unit, Dr. Randa El-Bitar, Director-General of the Pioneer and Youth Parliament, and Dr. Khaled Massoud, First Undersecretary of the Ministry and Head of the Youth Sector.

Dr. Abdullah El-Batsh welcomed Dr. Vadim Zaychikov’s participation, stressing that the Egyptian state is committed to building bridges of communication between the youth of BRICS nations through various programs. He also expressed interest in learning about the role of the Russian cultural centers in these countries.

Dr. Vadim Zaychikov introduced himself to the youth, saying: "Although I took over my duties as Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt just last month, Egypt is not a foreign country to me. I previously worked here 20 years ago at the Russian Cultural Center in Alexandria. I have also managed Russian cultural centers in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. I am happy to return to the 'Mother of the World' (Egypt) to work again, and I look forward to partnering and collaborating with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as youth are at the forefront of my priorities and I have many projects to support their activities."

Zaychikov emphasized that the Russian Cultural Centers in Cairo and Alexandria are open to all young people. "We are intensifying our educational and cultural programs to develop their personal skills to help them enter the job market with confidence," he said.

In this context, Russia will offer Egypt 338 scholarships for enrollment in Russian universities. Registration for these scholarships will continue until January 15th.

Zaychikov invited all young people and leaders from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to participate in the celebrations that the Russian House in Cairo and Alexandria will organize to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Russian public diplomacy.

Zaychikov also praised the participation of Egyptian youth in the 2024 World Youth Forum in Sochi and expressed his anticipation for more interaction and communication at upcoming youth forums.
