Renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass returned home after a two-day visit to Russia, Ali Abu Dashish, his Media Advisor said on Thursday.
In a press statement, he denied all 'baseless' rumors, which have been circulating lately on social media about imposing a travel ban on Hawass.
Moreover, Abu Dashish confirmed that legal measures will be taken against everyone who spread those fake and malicious rumors.
It is worth mentioning that, during his visit to Russia, Hawass gave a lecture to promote tourism in Egypt. He also signed his book "Magic of the Pyramids".
In addition, the well-known archaeologist met the Russian Culture Minister. He reviewed the recent archaeological discoveries and Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's great interest in Egyptian antiquities and museums, as well as the restoration of the Islamic Cairo historic region.
