Zahi Hawass: Royal Mummies' Convoy is Unforgettable Day in History

Dr. Zahi Hawass, world-famed Egyptologist and former Minister of Antiquities, said that the convoy of the Royal Mummies is unforgettable day in history.

He pointed out that is an event watched by everybody across the planet.

Hawass added that event has excitement and enchantment, especially it includes the transferring of the mummies of twenty-two kings and queens throughout the streets of Cairo.

He affirmed that event is considered propaganda to tourism, culture and politics in Egypt.

He mentioned that this event promotes Egypt in everywhere in the world.

He revealed that the hall that houses the Royal Mummies in the Museum of Civilization at Fustat District, shows also the coffins and statutes of the king/queen and artifacts dated back to the era of them, data on mummification and sheets of CT scan.

It is worth noting that the convoy of the Royal Mummies will transfer twenty-two royal mummies from the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir, downtown Cairo Square to the Museum of Civilization at Fustat neighborhood south to the capital.

It was scheduled to convey those mummies in a prestigious convoy suits to greatness of the forefathers and the originality of the Egyptian civilization.
