Renowned Egyptologist Zahi Hawass has announced that the "Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage" will launch a large popular campaign in September to demand the return of Nefertiti's bust, the Rosetta Stone, and the planetarium from abroad to Egypt. These artifacts will be placed in the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
Dr. Hawass made this announcement during a lecture on recent archaeological discoveries in the Italian city of Orvieto. The lecture was hosted by the famous Italian television commentator Roberto Jacopo and attended by the city's mayor and several popular cultural figures.
He also took this occasion to discuss new archaeological findings in Saqqara and Luxor, as well as the discovery of the "Scan Pyramids" pyramids.
He further noted that 2024 and 2025 will bring many important archaeological discoveries in Luxor and Saqqara.
