In a spectacular global cultural and artistic celebration held in the charming coastal city of Taormina, Sicily, the renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass was honored with Italy’s highest and most prestigious accolade, the "Nations Award" (Premio delle Nazioni). Holding an artistic and literary value akin to the international Oscars, the award celebrated its 20th anniversary milestone this year.
The accompanying festivities spanned three consecutive days, during which Dr. Hawass engaged in an intensive schedule. He met with large crowds and public figures to discuss his illustrious career and his most prominent archaeological discoveries.
