Zahi Hawass Opens Italian Tour with Lecture at Rome’s Colosseum

Renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass has launched his scientific tour of Italy, which will cover eight major cities, with a lecture in the Italian capital, Rome. The inaugural event took place at the historic Colosseum and drew a large audience of cultural and diplomatic figures.

The evening began with an introduction by the Director of the Colosseum, highlighting Dr. Hawass’s recent archaeological discoveries in Egypt. Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy, Bassam Rady, also delivered remarks, praising the prominent Egyptologist for his role in promoting Egyptian civilization internationally.

The program featured a cultural dialogue between Dr. Hawass and renowned Italian journalist and TV commentator Roberto Giacobbo, followed by a one-hour lecture by Dr. Hawass. In his talk, he presented Egypt’s latest archaeological discoveries and emphasized the timeless message of ancient Egyptian civilization to the world.

The event concluded with Dr. Hawass signing copies of his newly published Italian edition of “The Man in the Hat”, which was met with strong interest and enthusiasm from attendees.

Dr. Hawass’s tour will continue across eight cities in Italy as part of his ongoing efforts to raise global awareness of Egypt’s antiquities and recent discoveries.
