Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass met on Friday with Bowers Museum Board's Chair "Anne Shih", members of board of directors of the California-based museum and Egyptian tourism expert Fadl Gad.

Hawass received the delegation at the great pyramids area, where he narrated the most important archaeological discoveries in the Giza and Saqqara pyramids.

He said that he had visited the Bowers Museum several times and gave scientific lectures on archaeological discoveries, including the King Khufu Papyrus, which was discovered in the Wadi al-Jarf area on the Red Sea coast.

He said the museum displays artifacts of Queen Hatshepsut and King Ramses II and pieces of other civilizations, including Roman and Greek ones.
