The fate of former Egyptian beloved couple Youssef El Sherif and Engy Alaa's TV series "The Raccoon" has been revealed.
In a statement to "ET bel Arabi", Alaa revealed preparations for the series have been ongoing in the past two years and was slated to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon, but was postponed to Ramadan 2025 due to circumstances outside of production control.

Since November 28, the fate of the series has been a mystery following the couple's announcement that they are splitting after 14 years of marriage.
They got married in 2009 and collaborated on several TV series including "Zay El Ward", "Rakam Maghol", "Ism Moaqat", "Leaabet Eblis", "Al Sayeed", "Caesar", "Kafr Delhab", "The End", and “Covid-25”.
The series was witnessing El Sherif's finally making his long-awaited return to the Ramadan drama marathon after three years of absence.
The series is written by Alaa, directed by Mohamed El-Adl, and produced by Synergy.
