Youssef El Sherif's TV Series "The Raccoon" Gets Update

Fans of Egyptian actor Youssef El Sherif have been eagerly waiting for a new update on the hotly-anticipated TV series "The Raccoon".

The series was slated to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon but was postponed to Ramadan 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, Engy Alaa, scriptwriter of the series, stated that she finished writing the TV series a year ago.

“It took me two consecutive years to write the series, and I don’t know anything about if it is being postponed or when its premiere date." she added."I am currently preparing for a social thriller TV series.

Since November 28, there have been speculations over the series' fate following El Sherif and Alaa going their separate ways after 14 years of marriage.

They got married in 2009 and collaborated on several TV series including "Zay El Ward", "Rakam Maghol", "Ism Moaqat", "Leaabet Eblis", "Al Sayeed", "Caesar", "Kafr Delhab", "The End", and “Covid-25”.

Directed by Mohamed El-Adl and produced by Synergy, the series witnesses El Sherif's finally making his long-awaited return to the drama marathon after three years of absence.
