Throughout the week, Saleh will interview several prominent figures who closely worked with the late director or studied his films and archives.

The discussions will provide diverse perspectives on his cinematic and intellectual legacy:

• Tuesday, May 5: Basel Ramsis, a director and writer, presents an in-depth artistic analysis of Chahine's cinematic vision in his latest book, “Qenawi’s Last Cry: The Development of Youssef Chahine’s Personal Vision and Narrative Techniques, 1950–2007”.

• Wednesday, May 6: Gaby Khoury, an Egyptian film producer who collaborated with Chahine during the last two decades of his career and co-produced several of his famous films, such as “Destiny” (1997), “The Immigrant” (1994), and “Silence... We’re Rolling” (2001).

• Thursday, May 7: Amal Guermazi, a musician and conductor, discusses the role of music and dance in Chahine’s films as vital elements of his dramatic and aesthetic vision.
