"Your Coffee Is Royal" Exhibition Opens at Alexandria's Jewelery Museum

Under the title "Your Coffee Is Royal ", a temporary exhibition was opened at the Royal Jewelry Museum in Alexandria, and the museum includes part of the coffee sets from King Farouk's possessions.

Safaa Farouk Ragab, the Museum's Director- General, explained that this exhibition comes within a series of temporary exhibitions that the museum holds every period to shed light on some of the artifacts in the store.

She noted that the exhibition includes 32 artifacts consisting of 15 golden cups and 17 decorated saucers, from the outside surfaces, there are decorative royal drawings of the style of Louis XV.

Ragab indicated that the exhibition is scheduled to run for 3 months.

The Royal Jewelery Museum is one of the most important European-style architectural masterpieces, built by the Italian engineer Antonio Lachiac in 1919.

The museum building is a palace belonging to Princess Fatima Haider, one of the princesses of the Muhammad Ali family, and is distinguished by its architecture, decorations, and artistic units.

The palace was converted into a museum in 1986.

It includes 1,045 pieces of rare collectibles of gold, silver and precious stones belonging to the family of Muhammad Ali Pasha.
