Veteran Egyptian actor Yehia El-Fakharany will team up with his son, director Shady El-Fakharany in an untitled TV series.
The series, which is a comedy genre, is set to screen during the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.
This is the fifth collaboration between the pair. They collaborated previously in the 2012 TV series “Al Khawaga Abdel Kader”, in the 2014 TV series “Dahsha”, and in 2018’s TV series “Wanoos “, which achieved tremendous success during its premiere time in Ramadan.
The veteran actor participated last Ramadan with the 2021 TV series “Nagib Zahi Zarkash”.
The series also starred Hala Fakher, Anoushka, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Islam Ibrahim, Ramez Amir, Karim Afifi, and others.
“Nagib Zahi Zarkash” was directed by Shady, and written by Abdel-Rahim Kamal.
On the other hand, El-Fakharany will make a comeback to the big screen after 24 years of absence.
The acclaimed actor is set to star in the film “Benzo”, written by Taghreed Gamal and directed by Sara Wafiq.
The film is completely new and different from all his previous works.
El-Fakharany, born on April 7, 1945, is an Egyptian actor and former doctor.
He studied at the faculty of medicine and earned a pediatrician degree, however, he did not work as a doctor but rather began a career in acting, something he is quite passionate about.
El-Fakharany, who rose to fame in the 1960s, is known among his fans for his pleasant laugh and friendly nature.
The acclaimed actor took part in over 117 films, television series, and theatrical production. He is married to Lamis Gaber and has two children: the director Shady El-Fakharany and Tarek El-Fakharany.
