American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is still on track to perform a concert at one of Egypt's most iconic monuments, the Djoser's Step Pyramid in Saqqara, on Saturday, April 20.

"The concert would be held on time because the fees had been paid to the Syndicate, the permit had been issued, and the papers were in order and complete," said Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, the spokesperson for the Musicians Syndicate.

This comes after lawyer Amr Abdel Salam submitted an urgent complaint to the Public Prosecutor requesting the cancellation of the concert and implored Mostafa Kamel, head of the Syndicate, not to issue permits to hold West's concert.

The event, organized by Venture Lifestyle x Falcons in partnership with 96X, is scheduled to begin at 0:800 PM (Cairo local time).

Ye is set to present the gig alongside Ty Dolla $ign, becoming one of the first rappers to perform at the iconic monument.

Following the release of his latest collaboration album, "Vultures", the multi-hyphenate had hinted at a possible performance in Cairo later in the year.

Ye is set to be joined by four additional supporting acts, promising an electrifying performance.
