Rising Egyptian actress Yasmina El Abd has been cast as the lead in a feature film for the first time.
The project, titled "Kan Ya Makan", hails from director Ahmed Emad and scriptwriter Eiad Saleh. Nour El Nabawy and Marwan El Moslemany are also attached to star in the film.

Born in Switzerland to an Egyptian family, El Abd started her career in advertising at the age of nine. She was featured in the film "Daughters of Abdul-Rahman" in 2021, the Netflix original series "Finding Ola", the HBO Max series "Theodosia" in 2022, and the groundbreaking Arabic-language musical feature "Sukkar" in 2023 and its follow-up in 2025.
Abd roles also include "Daughters of Abdel Rahman" and "Fadl we Neama".
Alongside her scripted roles, she was a presenter for National Geographic Abu Dhabi and has also released three music videos on YouTube with over 5.8 million views combined. She shares life and career updates on her Instagram platform.
