Egyptian actress Yasmin Raeis has denied the rumors claiming that she had been cast in actor Mohamed Emam’s film "Saqr Wi Kanarya".
It is scripted by Ayman Wattar, directed by Hussein El Menbawy, and produced by Wael Abdullah. Principal photography is set to begin next week and will be shot in multiple locations, including Egypt and London.
"Saqr Wi Kanarya" was set to mark the second collaboration between Emam and Raeis after the 2020 film “Lis Bagdad”.
Raeis, born in Cairo in 1985, made her acting debut in the 2010 TV series “Ard Khas” (Special Screening) and later participated in several films such as “X Large”, “Wahid Saheeh”, and “Al Maslaha”. Her other film credits include "Lis Baghdad," “Soni’a Fi Misr,” “Fatat Al Masna,” “Hepta: El Mohadra El Akhyra”, and “Al-Bahth An Um Kalthoum”.
She collaborated with director Mohamed Khan in the film “Fatat Al Masna”(Factory Girl) in a leading role, which drew a lot of attention and won her several awards, including Best Actress Award from the Dubai International Film Festival.
On the TV side, Raeis is best known for her roles in "Ard Khas," "Lahazat Harega 3,""Taraf Talet,"Al Mizan,", and "Ana Shahira ... Ana Al-Kha'in."
