Lebanese superstar Yara will perform live at Dubai Opera, in the United Arab Emirates, on Saturday, April 4.
The evening will also feature performances by Iraqi singer Mahmoud Al Turky and Syrian singer Mouhamad Khairy.
Born Carla Nazih al-Berkashi on June 1, 1983, she is known professionally by the mononym as Yara.
Yara is one of the most celebrated voices in contemporary Arab pop.
The pop star won the music competition broadcast on LBC “Kass el-Nojoum” in 1998. She was discovered by Lebanese composer Tarek Abou Jaoudeh, who later became her producer and had also chosen her stage name.
Jaoudeh composed most of the superstar’s first singles, including “Hob Kbir“ in 2005. Her first album, ” Twassa Feyi ” was released this year.
Known for her angelic presence and timeless elegance, she became a household name with her breakthrough single “Hob Kbir”, marking the beginning of a remarkable artistic journey.
Through her ability to perform in multiple dialects, including Lebanese, Egyptian, and Khaliji, she connects deeply with audiences across the Arab world.
In 2014, Yara signed with the production label Watary, a partnership that birthed acclaimed releases such as "Ayech Bi Oyouni," "Mou Mehtajekom," and "Meaazabni El Hawa."
With grace, versatility, and lasting impact, she remains the one and only voice that transcends time and trends in Arab pop music.
