Season 3 of Netflix's popular YA comedy series "XO, Kitty," based on characters from Jenny Han’s "To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before" books, will premiere on the platform on April 2.
The streamer also released a few first look images from the forthcoming season, which will follow the series standard format of eight 30-minute episodes.
Created by Jenny Han and showrun and written by Valentina Garza, Season 3 will follow teen matchmaker Katherine "Kitty" Song-Covey (Anna Cathcart), as she returns for her senior year at KISS.
“She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea and make big decisions about her future,” reads the official logline. “And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans, and relationships, of course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.”
In addition to Cathcart, returning cast members include Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), and Hojo Shin (Jiwon).
Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice), and Sunny Oh (Mihee) also return as regulars.
The series also introduces three new cast members: Sule Thelwell (Marius), Soy Kim (Yisoo), and Christine Hwang (Gigi).
“XO, Kitty” first began as a spinoff series of the “To All the Boys” film franchise, based on Han’s book series, which includes “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, ” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever.”
The Paramount Television Studios series is executive produced by Garza, Han, Bradley Gardner, and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.
