Netflix has renewed its popular YA comedy series "XO, Kitty," based on characters from Jenny Han’s "To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before" books, for a third season.

Naturally, with romance front and center in the spinoff led by Anna Cathcart, who plays the titular character, got the renewal news on Valentine’s Day.

It comes less than a month after the January 16 Season 2 release.

In her reaction to the pickup, "XO, Kitty" showrunner Jessica O’Toole hints at how the show will handle the Season 2 cliffhanger, which had Kitty spontaneously joining Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) for a summer tour with his father and brother.

Season 1 and 2 chronicled Kitty’s time at the Korean Independent School of Seoul during the two semesters of her junior year of high school.

Season 3 is expected to do the same, focusing on her third semester at KISS — after a short detour.

“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” O’Toole said. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode.”

Season 2 of "XO, Kitty" debuted at #2 on the English TV List with 14.2 million views, which actually edged Netflix drama hit "The Night Agent" Season 2 opening the following week (13.9M).

The premiere of "XO, Kitty" Season 2 also brought back in the Top 10 Season 1 at No. 5 with 3.8 million views, with the original 2018 "To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before", reappearing at No. 6 on the English films list (3.1 million views) the week after.

Writer/showrunner O’Toole executive produces with series creator Jenny Han and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.

In Season 2 of "XO, Kitty", produced by Awesomeness Studios and ACE Entertainment, teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey came back to Seoul for a new semester at KISS following quite a dramatic ending of the first half of her study abroad scholarship program.

Single for the first time in a long time, she attempted a fresh start with the goals of no more meddling and no more drama as well as some casual dating — outside of the friend group. A letter from her mother’s past sets her on another wild journey of family history sleuthing, and new faces at KISS shift the trajectory of not only romantic relationships, but possibly careers.

The Season 2 cast included Anna Cathcart (Kitty Song Covey), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Minyeong Choi (Dae), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Gia Kim (Yuri) Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Audrey Huynh (Stella), with Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), and Joshua Lee (Jin).

Noah Centineo, star of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before film trilogy, reprised his role as Peter Kavinsky, boyfriend to Kitty’s older sister Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor) in episode 6 of Season 2.
