WWE Becky Lynch to Play Cyndi Lauper in 'Young Rock'

WWE Superstar Becky Lynch will play the character of music legend Cyndi Lauper in the new season of "Young Rock."

The star will be introduced under her real name Rebecca Quinn to portray the music legend. 

The show revolves around the life of WWE legend The Rock through three different timelines: the kid in Hawaii, the teenager who traveled all over the US with his dad, and his beginnings with the WWE.

The new season will focus on the timeframe of 1985's WrestleMania.

The premiere episode is titled The People Need You and it features: “After losing the election, Dwayne Johnson is ready to withdraw from politics. In 1985, Rocky Johnson learns there’s consequences to crossing Vince McMahon.”

The previous season ended with the Rock’s dad, Rocky Johnson, going to take a big booking in Saudi Arabia after being left off WrestleMania. 

PWInsider reports the first episode is foucsed around a party Lauper and the first WrestleMania.

Moreover, it will will feature portrayals of Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Vince McMahon, Lou Albano and Liberace.
