Hollywood star Will Smith visited the great Giza pyramids on Thursday on a quick tour due to his presence in Egypt.
The iconic rapper and actor is currently visiting the country to film a TV commercial for a top-tier brand.
On Wednesday, he visited a famous restaurant in the El Tagamoa El-Khamis (Fifth Settlement) area and took pictures with its staff.
Smith surprised his fans in Egypt with his trip to the country, which came nine years after his previous visit in 2017.
This visit wasn't the global star's only recent connection to the Arab region, and Egypt in particular.
On Monday, Smith posted a video on Instagram showing him dancing and singing along to the song “Mekassarat” by his Egyptian pal, Ahmed Saad.
In the clip, Smith, accompanied in the video by Jordanian content creator Ahmed Abu Al-Rub, imitates the dance moves from Saad’s track.
The video garnered 404,000 likes and 181,000 shares upon release, quickly going viral on social media.

Before becoming a blockbuster fixture, Smith broke into the spotlight as half of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince.
The pair became one of rap’s early mainstream success stories, earning a Grammy for the wildly popular track “Parents Just Don’t Understand” and later cementing their legacy with the timeless summer anthem “Summertime.”
Smith eventually launched a solo career that produced global hits like “Men in Black,” “Wild Wild West,” and “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It,” elevating him to a level of pop culture fame few artists ever reach.
