The ongoing coronavirus pandemic had an impact on many industries, including entertainment. It had led to many events being postponed and canceled.
Cinemas and theaters around the globe closed due to the coronavirus. The studios repeatedly postponed release dates and film festivals scrapping plans or moving online, prompting awards bodies to postpone their ceremonies.
This year's awards season for 2021 is carrying on with the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, GRAMMYs and others holding presenting ceremonies like no other while prioritizing the public health and safety of all the participants.
Below, "SEE" provides a handy awards season guide, to help you keep up to date and what is to expect for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys, BAFTA Awards and more.
Golden Globes
The 78th Golden Globe awards ceremony, which traditionally takes place in early January, has been pushed back to Sunday, Feb. 28 as a bicoastal telecast hosted by Tina Fey from the "The Rainbow Room" in NYC and Amy Poehler from "The Beverly Hilton" in California, with nominees appearing virtually from around the world.
The awards ceremony launched the Hollywood awards season for 2021, with the Academy Awards to be hosted on April 25, not very far off.

GRAMMY Awards
The 63rd annual GRAMMY Awards were postponed due from Jan. 31 to March 14, due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
The event, which recognizes achievements in the music industry, will take place at Los Angeles Convention Center.
How to watch: the ceremony will air on CBS and broadcast via CBS All Access at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.
SAG Awards
The 27th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards first posted from January to March, but a new date was later claimed by the rescheduled GRAMMY Awards, SAG-AFTRA. The awards ceremony was delayed to April 4.
The event will be re-imagined as a one-hour special that highlights and expands on our signature I am an Actor opening and honors the outstanding performances of the past year.
How to watch: the ceremony will be available on TNT and TBS at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
BAFTA Awards
The 74th British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, will take place on April 11, two weeks ahead of the Academy Awards, as is customary. It was previously set for Feb. 14.
The Oscars
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences postponed the 93rd annual Oscars will take place on April 25, hosted from multiple locations including the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
