World Cup 2022 closing ceremony kicked off on Sunday at Lusail Stadium in Doha, with Egyptian rapper Wegz delivering a firing performance with his latest song “Ezz El Arab”.

Besides Wegz, Egyptian Opera singer Farrah El Dibany crooned the French national anthem La Marseillaise.

She is the first Egyptian singer and the first in the Arab world to join the Paris Opera.

Moreover, Qatari singer Aisha and Nigerian Afro-pop star Davido performed Hayya Hayya, which was released in April as the first World Cup anthem.

The female-strong line-up of Light The Sky, including Nora Fatehi, Emirati singer Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal, performed their pop track.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and Spanish goalkeeping great Iker Casillas appeared with the FIFA World Cup trophy, which weighs 6.175 kgs and is made of 18-carat gold and malachite.

It is worth noting that the closing ceremony coincides with Qatar National Day with more than 80,000 fans attending the match.
