The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Dr. Mostafa Waziri received the Administrator of the South Korean Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) Kim Hyun-mo, and his delegation at the Karnak Temple, Luxor on Thursday.
During the meeting, both sides discuss the possible means of enhancing mutual cooperation in the fields of archaeological discovery and museums, including excavations, restoration projects, and upgrading the services at the archaeological sites in addition to the employment of modern technology in the archaeological field and organizing exhibitions, exchanging scholarships, training archaeologists and workers in the Ministry of Antiquities, and competing against illegal antiquities trafficking.
Waziri asserted his keenness in enhancing the bilateral ties in the field of archaeology, referring to the friendship relationship between the two countries.
This meeting came on the sidelines of the Presidential visit of the South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his spouse to Egypt.
