Egyptian megastar, Amr Diab has been displayed on the billboards of Times Square, in New York City, as Spotify is promoting his forthcoming album “Ana Gheir”.
Diab is the most listened artist among the Arab singers on Spotify.

It provides over billion of digital music and other contacts from artists all over the world.
In 2018, Spotify launched its service in several Middle East and North Africa countries, including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories.
The megastar had released several songs from his new album, the lastest was the song "Awal Youm fi El Baad", which marks the sixth single from his forthcoming album, following "Oddam Mirayatiha”,“Youm Talat”, “Bahebo,” “Ana Gheir”, and "Mitghayar".
The song is by the lyrics of Ahmed Al-Malki, and composed by Mehmedi.
In this new album — produced by Nay production Company— Diab cooperated with a prominent group of songwriters and prominent composers including, Hamid El Shaeri, Ahmed Al-Malki, Mohamed Rahim, Saber Kamal, Amir Teima, and Islam Zaki.
He had cooperated with poets Ahmed Marzouk and Mohamed Al-Qayati for the first time.
The 57-year-old megastar had launched last year his latest released album “Kol Hayaty”, which featured 13 songs.

Diab, known to fans as El-Hadaba, has created his own style, which is often termed “Mediterranean Music”, a blend of Western and Egyptian rhythms.

Diab’s fame in the entertainment industry has led him to experiment with other forms of media, such as film-making.
Diab co-starred in three films “El Afareet”, “Ice Cream in Gleam”, and “Dahk Wa Laab”.
He co-starred as himself in his first film, “El Afareet” — released in 1989 — with prominent Egyptian actress, Madiha Kamel.
In 1992, he starred in his second film “Ice Cream in Gleam”, which was chosen as one of the best five Egyptian musical films by the “UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television”.
The superstar’s third film “Dahk Wa Laab” came out in 1993, co-starring international Egyptian star Omar Sharif and prominent Egyptian actress Yousra.
Despite the films’ success, Diab did not experience the same level of success in acting as he had with his music.
He has focused on his singing career since 1993.
