Amr Diab Promotes His New Single “Oddam Mirayatiha”

Amr Diab took to his social media accounts to promote his new single “Oddam Mirayatiha” from his forthcoming album “Ana Gheir”.

The song is written by Tamer Hussein and composed by Aziz El Shafei.

“Oddam Mirayatiha” marks the sixth single from Diab's new album, following “Bahebo”, “Ana Gheir”, “Tehayrk”, “Youm Talat”, and “Metghayar”.

In this album — produced by Nay production Company— Diab cooperated with a prominent group of songwriters and composers including, Hamid El Shaeri, Ahmed Al-Malki, Mohamed Rahim, Saber Kamal, Amir Teima, Nader Abdullah, Mohammady, Khaled Tag El Din, and Islam Zaki.

He also cooperated with poet Ahmed Marzouk for the first time.

The megastar had launched in 2018 his last released album “Kol Hayaty” , which features 13 songs.

Diab, born on October 11, 1961, is an Egyptian multi-award-winning pop singer-songwriter.

He has created his own style, which is often termed “Mediterranean Music”, a blend of Western and Egyptian rhythms.

The 57-year-old megastar became the first Arabic artist to start making high-tech music videos by 1992.

He won the World Music Award for best-selling Middle Eastern Artist seven times between 1998 and 2014.

“El-Hadaba” was also ranked in the top slot on iTunes when his 2013 and 2014 albums were released.

Moreover, Guinness World Records listed the singer as the” top Arab award-winning musician” and the “best-selling Middle Eastern musician” since 1989.

Diab has produced a new concept of Mediterranean music, especially with his international hit, “Nour El Ain”, according to author Michael Frishkopf.

The megastar’s fame in the entertainment industry has led him to experiment with other forms of media, such as filmmaking.

Diab co-starred in three films “El Afareet”, “Ice Cream in Gleam”, and “Dahk Wa Laab”.

He played as himself in his first film, “El Afareet” — released in 1989 — co-starring prominent Egyptian actress, Madiha Kamel.

In 1992, he co-starred in his second film “Ice Cream in Gleam”, which was chosen as one of the best five Egyptian musical films by the “UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television”.

His third film “Dahk Wa Laab” came out in 1993, co-starring International Egyptian star Omar Sharif and prominent Egyptian actress Yousra.
