The Warner Music Group/Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund has announced a $1 million commitment to the Los Angeles area fire relief and rebuilding efforts.

According to the announcement, the fund will donate to vital organizations supporting the city’s community, local first responders, and those in the music industry affected by the disaster. The fund will contribute to the California Community Foundation, LAFD Foundation, Project HOPE, and MusiCares, among other organizations.

At the same time, Warner Music Group is working to ensure the safety of its team members. The company is helping to support emergency accommodations and food expenses for employees who have had to evacuate their homes and is also contributing to donation drives and volunteering efforts.

Over the last four years, the fund has “supported organizations around the globe that build more just and equitable communities and create real change in the lives of historically underserved and marginalized people, principally Black populations,” according to the announcement.

The Warner Music Group/Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund join several other entertainment affiliates who have pledged financial aid, including the Motion Picture Television Fund, Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, Annenberg Foundation, Wasserman Foundation, and many more.

As L.A. is an industry town, plenty of above- and below-the-line workers have lost their homes. Among them are stars like Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Billy Crystal, Kate Beckinsale, and others.
