"Train to Busan" proved to be a huge hit for horror movie fans across the globe and made the audience scream and cry.
There have been talks of an American remake since the movie's premiere. Progress on the project seemed to be picking up steam last December when the movie got a title, "The Last Train to New York" and a release date, April 21, 2023.
The remake is expected to follow a similar plot but will take place on a train to New York.
Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto is set to serve as director of the remake with "The Conjuring" creator James Wan set to produce and Gary Dauberman writing the script.
