Syrian actress Wafaa Salem has undergone plastic surgery to correct facial deformities that resulted from a botched cosmetic procedure.
A consultant plastic surgeon published a video of Salem on Facebook detailing the new surgery and her condition.
"They operated threads lift and it damaged me. They also wrongly injected my face. My sense of self-satisfaction is very important. I don't know if these defects are obvious or not, but I see and feel them when I touch my face a lot." the actress stated.
Salem, born on July 23, 1964, made her acting debut in the 1984 film "The Black Tiger", starring Ahmed Zaki .
She then starred in numerous films such as including "A Smile on Sad Eyes" (1989) and "Marriage and Summer" (1985).
Salem then switched her career to television and starred in productions such as "Harun al-Rashid" (1997) and "El Daly" (2008).
