Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Visits Pyramids, Egyptian Civilization Museum

The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra visited the Pyramids of Giza and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization; as part of their current visit to Egypt to present some performances, led by international maestro Riccardo Muti.

Director General of the Pyramid Antiquities Area Ashraf Mohieldin, who received the delegation, said that the visit included a tour of the Great Pyramid, the panorama area and the Sphinx, noting that the 90 members of the orchestra were keen to record their visit to the area by taking memorial photos.

At the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, they toured the central exhibition hall and the Royal Mummies Hall.

They also went on a Nile cruise, in which they enjoyed the beauty of the Nile and the scenic views of Cairo.

Nesreen Osmanli, director of the offices of the General Authority for Tourism Activation at Cairo Airport received the members of the orchestra upon their arrival with flowers and souvenirs.
