Veteran Actor Mohamed Farid Dies at 83

Veteran Egyptian actor Mohamed Farid has died at the age of 83.

The late actor passed away on Saturday after a long battle with illness.

Perior to his death, Farid was admitted to the hospital after suffering from a sudden health crisis.

The late actor suffered from a deficiency in hemoglobin, which led to a drop in blood pressure and the occurrence of several complications and necessitated to his transfer into the intensive care unit (ICU).

The funeral will be held after Zuhur prayer at Al-Hosary Mosque in in the 6th of October City.

Farid was born on December 24, 1940. The late actor's talent appeared during high school at Beni Suef Secondary School.

He studied at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and finished his studies after obtaining a Bachelor of Theatrical Arts in 1962, after which he began working between cinema, theater and television.

Among his notable film and TV productions "Layaly Al-Helmiya", "El Shaytana Alati Ahabatni", "Elshahd wel Domouaa".
