Veteran Actor Ahmed Halawa Dies of Coronavirus

Veteran Egyptian actor Ahmed Halawa passed away on Friday at the age of 73 after contracting the Coronavirus.

The late actor contracted the coronavirus on February 10 and was later on transferred to the ICU; his condition was described as critical.

Halawa was born on January 7, 1949. He was the nephew of the theatre actor-director Fayez Halawa.

In 1973, the beloved actor obtained a bachelor’s from the High Institute of theatrical Art with a specialization in acting and directing.

He starred in 231 films and TV productions.

The acclaimed actor is famous for his roles in the 1980 TV series "Dmoo' fe eyon Wkha", the 2016 TV series "El-Caesar", and the 2018 TV series "Al-Wasiya", and the 2021 TV series "Al Ekhteyar 2: Regal El Zel".

Halawa made his last screen appearance in the 2021 film "Ahmed Noterdame".
