Juno Temple has revealed that the upcoming Sony Pictures/Marvel production "Venom 3" is hurtling toward an October 2024 release date.
Speaking to Variety at a Ted Lasso event, the English actress revealed that she was due to begin filming "very, very soon" and that she was "thrilled" by it.
Plot details are unknown other than Tom Hardy is reprising the lethal protector Venom. Hardy first played Eddie Brock back in the original 2018 movie, where he faced off against the Riot symbiote and its host, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed).
The first movies had arrived from two different directors, with Ruben Fleischer directing the first and Andy Serkis helming the latest pic.
British screenwriter Kelly Marcel is set to direct the Marvel and Sony Pictures movie. She had previously served as a writer and producer for the first two Venom movies.
Marcel will direct the project from a screenplay based on a story by her and Hardy.
Producers include Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
Marvel alum Chiwetel Ejiofor - who played Mordo in the Doctor Strange films - will star in the upcoming movie.
Hardy recently disclosed he was pretty deep into his prep for starting up work again, although there has been a set-back - work on pre-production has ground to a halt, as has everything else, as a result of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike which has affected pretty much every major project across the US.
