High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and the professional baseball player Cole Tucker tied the knot in front of family and friend in Tulum, Mexico.
The nuptials come nine months after the 34-year-old Princess Switch star confirmed her engagement to the shortstop by showing off her diamond ring in photos from their trip to Paris, France. "YES," she captioned the Instagram post. "We couldn’t be happier."
Hudgens, 34, and Tucker, 27, were first publicly linked in 2020, months after her split from former longtime boyfriend Austin Butler.
Prior to Butler, the former Disney star was famously in a longtime relationship with High School Musical co-star Zac Efron before their split in 2010.
In a 2021 Drew Barrymore Show interview, Hudgens recounted how she met Tucker in a Zoom meditation group during the peak of coronavirus lockdowns.
“I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey it was nice to meet you,'” she said. “I think there’s no shame in making the first move. If you want it, why wait for someone else to give you what you want?”
The following February, the pair made their romance Instagram official on Valentine’s Day.
“It’s you, it’s me, it’s us. @cotuck,” the “The Princess Switch” star captioned a photo showing her smooching the shortstop, while Tucker shared his own holiday post with the cheeky caption, “Happy V day ❤️ @vanessahudgens.”
Hudgens and Tucker made their red carpet debut as a couple at the AFI Fest Opening Night Gala in November 2021 for the premiere of her movie “Tick, Tick … Boom!”.
Though Tucker popped the question, Hudgens was the one who made the first move by sliding into the Pittsburgh Pirates player’s DMs.
“If I want something or someone, I’m going after them,” she previously stated.
