The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem announced that Cairo Opera House will resume streaming US Metropolitan Opera shows, media agencies reported on Sunday.
Abdel Dayem expressed that the decision aims creating cultural and artistic variety, in addition to bridging between different cultures in terms of creativity and communication in the field of Opera.
She highlighted that Cairo Opera House is the first Opera house in the whole region which reflects its cultural and artistic value, alongside its unique talents and voices.
The program will start next Saturday by broadcasting Verdi's Rigoletto.
It also includes another five performances: L'Arianna by Monteverdi on March 12, Don Carlos by Verdi March 26, Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti May 11, Turandot by Puccini May 21, and Hamlet by Brett Dean June 4.
